DALB ▪️[d-a-l-b] ▪️Pure, luminous, pristine white▪️A Romanian word evoking clarity, innocence, and strength revealed through simplicity▪️
▪️Garments designed to embody purity of intention, luminosity of design, and the quiet power of refined elegance ▪️
Not defined by a logo or a price tag — but by the integrity of every choice made before a garment reaches your hands. This is what DALB was built to be.
Explore our identityDALB was founded on a single, demanding conviction: that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible — that the highest standards of design and the deepest commitment to ethical making are not in tension, but are, in fact, the same thing.
We work at a slower pace by design. We produce in small batches, from carefully chosen materials, with independent Romanian ateliers whose craft we know and trust. Every piece that leaves our atelier carries the full weight of that care — in its silhouette, its fabric, its finish.
The result is clothing conceived not for seasons, but for years. Pieces that accumulate meaning rather than losing it. A wardrobe built with intention, one considered garment at a time.
Our sustainability commitmentLuxury should mean something. To us, it means ethical choices at every stage — not a markup, not a logo.
We work only with independent local ateliers. We know every person in our production chain by name.
We do not follow the trend cycle. We make what is worth keeping — and we take the time to make it properly.
We want to create a brand that proposes so much more than clothes — one that empowers women to feel confident in their femininity, and connects them to a community of others who share that sense of refined, considered living.Mihaela Dulgheru — Founder & Creative Director, DALB
Some decisions don't feel like risk — they feel like recognition. For Mihaela Dulgheru, leaving a consultancy career to found DALB wasn't a leap into the unknown; it was finally building what she had always known fashion could be.
DALB carries her conviction: that a garment can be beautiful without being wasteful, modern without being disposable, elegant without being empty. She didn't set out to follow fashion. She set out to change what it means.
She launched the brand in Bucharest in 2019 with a clear sense of what it would stand for — and an equally clear sense of what it would refuse to do.
The woman she designs for is defined not by age or profession, but by a quality of attention — a refined eye, a preference for things that reward closer looking, and an understanding that how she dresses is an extension of how she thinks. She invests in pieces she will reach for again and again. She is not chasing trends. She is building something — a wardrobe, a sensibility, a life — that is entirely, unmistakably her own.
DALB on You DALB Women TalksFrom the beginning, DALB was shaped by three beliefs that have never changed — about women, about craft, and about what Romanian fashion could become.
DALB was never conceived as simply a clothing label. From the start, Mihaela wanted to build something that helped women feel genuinely confident in their femininity — and connected to a community of others who share that same thoughtful, sophisticated approach to how they live and how they dress.
Grace and elegance are not only aesthetic values — they are a way of moving through the world with intention. DALB advocates for a clean, considered lifestyle: one built on informed choices, on understanding where things come from and what they cost in the broadest sense, and on finding beauty in what is genuinely well made.
Romania has an extraordinary tradition of textile craft — one that has too often gone unrecognised, with skilled tailors working anonymously for international labels at wages that don't reflect their skill. Mihaela founded DALB to change that: to build a Romanian brand that earns its place on a global stage, and to make visible the people whose hands are at the heart of it.
Each piece is an invitation — to dress with intention, to choose what endures.
