We believe in fashion that lasts — not just in fabric and stitch, but in meaning.
DALB was founded in Bucharest in 2019 with a conviction that has not changed: that a garment worth keeping is a garment worth making well. Not for a season, not for a trend cycle — but for the years ahead, for the moments that matter, for the woman who knows her own mind.
That conviction shapes everything — which materials we choose, which ateliers we work with, how many pieces we make. Luxury, to us, is not a price point. It is a standard of honesty: in design, in craft, in the choices made before a garment ever reaches your hands.

Every material, every supplier, every process is chosen with full awareness of its impact. Responsibility is not a marketing position — it is the starting point of every decision we make.

Craft over volume
DALB produces in small batches, entirely in Romania, working with artisans who understand what they are making. We would rather make fewer pieces well than many pieces carelessly.

We draw from history, from classical silhouettes, from a deep understanding of what endures. A DALB piece is not designed to be replaced next season — it is designed to still feel right in ten years.

Every DALB garment is produced in Bucharest, by ateliers and craftspeople who have spent their lives learning their trade. We do not outsource outside Romania. We do not compromise on where things are made in exchange for lower cost.
Romania has a long and distinguished tradition of textile craft. We consider it our responsibility — and our privilege — to work within that tradition and to sustain it.

We work with refined, luxurious materials — some of them archived or deadstock fabrics that would otherwise go unused. Every yard of fabric has a reason to exist.
