Colours are incredibly compelling. They significantly impact our emotions and how we behave. Of all the elements of design that appeal to our emotions, colours hold the most influence. DALB’s designer fully used their power for her new FALL collection - AERIAL.

As we are already living the second pandemic fall, she felt it was high time to make the shift from the crave for comfort and stability in the face of uncertainty to a more alert state of mind, seeking joy and adventure (even if it’s still just from the comfort of our own home!). Enduring and exuberant colours come together in this new collection to create a palette inspiring creativity and reinvention. Of course, autumn's go-to shades are in the mix this year (dark blue or black), but there is also a vibrant, energizing shade of yellow, the fierce fuchsia or dreamy blues, all toned down in darker shades for the visual unity of the collection.

DARK FUCSIA

Fuchsia invigorates any piece. It is a fun and vibrant colour that isn’t for the faint of heart. Fuchsia colour invokes feminine charm and elegance and projects carefreeness. Fuchsia is quite flattering on a lot of skin tones, from an ivory skin, olive, and golden skin to the deepest, richest skin tones. It can be paired in colour-block outfits, used in contrast to black to attract attention or with a dark or light tone of neutral cinnamon or grey for a more sophisticated look.

Yellow is the best colour to create enthusiasm for life and can awaken greater confidence and optimism. We opted for a more subtle approach, a darker and greener shade of yellow. It goes very well with a pale skin tone or with the dark ones.

Indigo is a colour related to devotion and helping others. It suggests wisdom, authority and impartiality. The colour indigo is the colour of intuition and perception. Powerful and dignified, indigo conveys integrity and deep sincerity. The deep, rich hue of indigo is perfect for every tone so there’s no need to worry about that. Not only does it match every skin tone, but it also matches every other colour.
